Drama
Wishes at the Ready

Every year I welcome the familiar and exhilarating elements of a Fourth of July night: the anticipation and guessing game one plays when waiting for the fireworks to begin; the sharp intake of breath when the first colossal ball of color explodes into the night sky, and the involuntary shouts of joy in praise of freedom, of flight, of color, of hopes and dreams on display. Our granted wishes light up the sky with each new dramatic star bound spectacle! These are the elements that resonate with a dandelion who knows full well the pleasure felt when granting wishes – using a breath to explode magic into the sky. Dandelions live for that moment.

Oh! The sweet intake to holds one’s breath, and the dramatic release – to wish!

It is a privilege to wish my country “Happy Birthday”, and to my fellow Americans “Happy Independence Day”. Wherever you are in the world, whatever birthdays you celebrate, I wish for you that they are strongly felt, full of meaning with a sky exploding in color to illuminate your dreams! Enjoy this party we call life!

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.

We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
