You know all those imperfections you see in yourself, the ones that you can’t seem to let go? Try this: look closely at nature and see the imperfections that UNABASHEDLY PROCLAIM beauty. Then, take a deep breath and accept that you are perfect.
Really, you are. Perfect. Enough. Right.
Brought to you by my imperfect, perfectly beautiful garden, and the chamomile flowers that did not wait for me to tend to them properly.
I know they are not weeds. But they have the spirit and strength of things that thrive without attention. So, perhaps they are not aware of any distinctions or limitations.
I am inspired by things that grow in the ground and blow in the wind. I like to play in the dirt, especially when planting something, and can talk to trees. I like to look closely at things that at first seem small, insignificant, dried out, or contrary. Weeds may not welcome me with swollen blossoms, but the visual treasure they offer up, are well worth a look. Do you agree? I hope that these images of the oft-overlooked pest of our gardens and yards may give to you some delight, hope, or a new thought to make your daily journey just a little bit more inspired.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
