Taking the Overpass

On Mondays we start out on our path to our destination. We plot our course, make a plan, measure out the timing in daily doses. We keep our goal in sight. When we can use the overpass to avoid a mess of snarled tangled weed traffic, we do. If you are lucky enough to be the passenger on such an overpass, hold your breath as you near the peak and look around at a vista that is temporary. You only get the opportunity to see it while in transit. What you see is not your future and not where you will end up. What you see is yourself in a moment of time where everything is clear. You see the perspective you should have every day, but instead, everyday you get mired in the muck and you get distracted by the burrs and flowers and winding stems that grasps at your attention.

Be a solitary weed! Stand alone and look at where you are when all the things around you pass you by. Have a weederful week!

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.

We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
