There’s going to be a secret rendezvous, and hopefully more than one. Perhaps at midnight, perhaps past two, me and you. The boards are loose and the spot is marked. Two weed friends of mine are keeping lookout. We’ll gaze at the stars and sneak kisses by moonlight. I’ll wait for you my dear…tonight!
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.

I am inspired by things that grow in the ground and blow in the wind. I like to play in the dirt, especially when planting something, and can talk to trees. I like to look closely at things that at first seem small, insignificant, dried out, or contrary. Weeds may not welcome me with swollen blossoms, but the visual treasure they offer up, are well worth a look. Do you agree? I hope that these images of the oft-overlooked pest of our gardens and yards may give to you some delight, hope, or a new thought to make your daily journey just a little bit more inspired.

Hi. I am on the look-out for weeds in unusual places, as a result of reading your blog. Yesterday, I saw a vine poking out through the top of one of those yellow plastic covers on the wires that prop up power poles. What a story you could have told! jane

Hi Jane, I wish I could have seen that weed. I think that is wonderful that you are now a weed spotter! Be careful, they can be very distracting!
Thank you for the likes, everyone!
