“Hi.” “Hey.”
“So, I guess we’re roommates, huh?” “Yup.”
That was how it began. Two young ones on their own, randomly tossed together into the same space to make a new family with each other. Neither one knew what to expect, but they both knew how to share, to be polite, and how to break the ice with jokes and pranks. They had some idea of what they could offer and what they needed in order to thrive, but the rest would come with time. In the coming weeks and days they would learn much about themselves and each other. The relationship between these two weeds is still new with many tests to come, but it is clear that the seeds have been sown and the roots are set for steady growth. Here’s to the future “best friends for life” relationship waiting to bloom.
