Stripped down to the base essentials, the weed flower held on to her dignity as she bravely stared down the other, more brightly colored blooms. She relished in her exposed form which spoke more of strength than fluff. The sun warmed her as it did the other weed flowers, but instead of preening and posing, she could close her eyes and soak up the rays, no longer concerned with looking pretty. In giving up pretense this weed flower became all the more attractive. She became like a star, true to her form. Isn’t it funny how life can trick us into revealing our true selves when we are stretched thin or stripped bare?
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.

Hi. These are encouraging words for those of us who are no longer young! Jane
Hi Jane. Thank you! Yes, indeed. If our bloom of youth has faded, there still remains the form which can be even more beautiful. I’m with ya girl!
