My Soft Touch

Saving My Softness

Saving My Softness

I remember your touch, and I swoon. I close my eyes and dream of it. I hold your breath in my flowers, till they are puffy and soft with remembrance. I stand tall on waving stem, boldly saving my softness for you. I shall stiffen in order to withstand the winds that threaten to make me weak. I will be strong when torrential rains dig at my roots that aim to soften my grip. I can conserve my strength.

The weed in all of us must be strong in order to survive our days of drought. Don’t we all know that brighter days will come and then we will be able to blossom? Then, have faith, and remember…if we dig deep enough, our blossoms will be ever brighter and more fabulous when they are at last unleashed. Our scents will make others swoon, and remind them of happiness and love. The struggle makes every loving touch more tender. So the waiting is worth it.

This weed loving gal wishes for you a weekend of love and happiness. Go ahead and bloom after the rain! I dare you.

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.

We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
