Kite Flowers
Kite Flowers

Feathery and light, we catch the wind like kites who soar and dip and twirl with abandon. There is such freedom in being so delicate and compliant to the wind and forceful things. We are free to flutter and shake to any beat we wish and therefore need no music to stir our souls. We are strengthened and freed by our fragility. And we are together!

So strong are we that the drops of rain which tend to fall without notice shall not deter us from our exuberant search for delight. Instead, we shake the drops off so they will not drag us down, down away from soaring delight into sodden messes. We need to stay light. Our delight is the nectar that fuels us and we need it to be able to share with the like minded visitors who come by to sip from our straws and are replenished.

So today, I stick out my tongue at troubles, at mine fields and boggy holes and ditches that could trip us. I shall be light and delight in all that I see and feel today, for life is grand, especially when seen from the eyes of a weed who has nothing to lose and oh, so much to give!

Delight in today! May your day be weederful!

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.

We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
