Trims & Curls
Trims & Curls

‘Tis the season once again, so the calendar and carolers say. Time for merriment, feasting, reveling and decorations. But I would like to be still. I would like to close my eyes and listen to the wishes and dreams and hopes in the hearts…not of the children on the list, who might be naughty or nice, but of the common man, woman and child who I see and honestly, tend to overlook most everyday. Today I want to be different and listen to simple words instead of boasting choruses proclaiming grand plans and the diamond tinkling chimes of cheerful baubles. I want to be simple, like the decor of a weed standing in for filigreed garland with its graceful twists, thorny icicles and jeweled ornament blossoms.

‘Tis time to get into the season, and there are many more ways than are first apparent. Let us be like the simple weed. Let us observe, listen, and accept. Let us love. Then with joy we can choose to deck the hills, or the halls, whichever we call our home!

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.

We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
