I am happy! I just came home from a treasured tradition, a Christmas Cookie Exchange party hosted by my dear friend and neighbor, Sally. My spirits have been lifted by the simple joys of cookies baked and shared, of stories told, neighbors cherished, and friendships that last decades. So in honor of the cookies on the platter, the aroma of chocolate and spices, and the boys in my house who are waiting for samples, I shall leave my weeds to bloom and inspire with their own strengths. I shall go join my family – and be happy!
