Thorns Under A Layer Of Ice
Thorns Under A Layer Of Ice

I carry my thorns with me. When my heart is cold, I layer ice over them to insulate, to protect, to shut down. And when I thaw, watch yourself. Ouch!

This weed looks like it might be having a tough day. So it is both warning others to stay away, and protecting what lies inside the tightly closed thorn adorned pieces of its heart. One thing about weeds is, no matter how badly you treat them, they always grow back. Here’s hoping that today, all my weeds are treated well.

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.

We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
