The horehound soaked up the pure winter’s sun on the hillside and enjoyed the cool air, accompanied by the perfect amount of breeze. After soaking up days of rain and enduring fog that had shrouded the hill in its soft gray grip, today burst forth with the bright force of nature and soused everyone on the hill from winter’s sleep. The Russian Thistle stood taller, the crabgrass spread out their green fingers atop the dirt and the horehound threw up its hands in praise. The entire hillside exclaimed “Gosh, it is gorgeous!”
Today is a breathtaking day, a day to make you stop and notice the beauty around you and to praise the higher power that caused it to be so spectacular. Whether you find yourself surrounded by weeds or wildflowers, stand of conifers or towers of concrete I hope the sun finds you to shine down on you and bless you. Today is a day of joy!
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
