Simple Touch

All I Need

All I Need

This simple touch of you and me, a leaning, a settling, a sinking into one another; this simple touch is all I need. I open up and you support me. When you close up, needing time, a filter of protection from the harsh unforgiving glare of the world, I lay softly against you, and reassure you with my warmth. You are not ready to stand face up and open in the direct sun, so I shall be your sun.

You and I, we are the same in the roots and the system that keeps us thriving. We are the same and yet we hit the bumps in the road with different strides and at different times. We make our own paths. How lucky we are that our paths adjoin one another.

Each time we meet I get to feel my heart skip a beat…and then I realign.

So, you go your way and blossom according to your needs. I will be here beside you, pursuing my own journey, ever mindful that a simple touch will bring us both back to each other, to our centers and to what really matters. Your simple touch is all I need to send my fears fleeing from me and set things right. Your simple touch does so much.

Oh weeds, how beautiful is your love affair with one another! How artfully you practice purity!

I thank you.

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.

We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
