Spring hasn’t officially arrived yet if you pay attention to the calendar, but in my neck of the woods, the weeds and wildflowers are growing full spring ahead! A morning trek with the dogs rewarded me with glorious sight of lots of weeds growing strong and proud, eager to stretch their leaves up to the warm sun and the blissfully clear blue sky.
The life that keeps to the ground knows how to take advantage of a beautiful day and celebrate heaven here on earth. Here there are no worries, no deadlines, no stress. No politics, pop stars hogging headlines. No injustice. Just peace and life, fresh air, sunshine and growing, being, sniffing, and helping her mistress enjoy her surroundings.
Thank you weeds! And thank you Lucky, for helping me hunt for good weeds. You found a Sowthistle. Good girl.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be. Please come back again for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like. Even better, look down at the world that teems with life and meaning. It is right at your feet!
