The sun is going down in my corner of the world and I raise my arms up in a big, big yawn. My entire body yawns. Stretching feels good. Embracing the sky feels good. Essential, even.
It has been a good day. “Good day” has been redefined, simply due to the fact that I am able to enjoy this day – when, on so many days lately, it seems we cannot find the joy we need, nor the peace we seek. Today I am thankful for so many things. I am thankful for creative endeavors, for my partner, for my family, for good people, for respect, for challenges, for earth and sky and sun. I am thankful that a deadly virus has not ventured into my corner of the world. I am thankful that I have empathy for those whose world has been upended by that virus.
I am thankful that I have manners, that I can see the good in people no matter what, that I can find others like me (and unlike me, yet who adhere to the same values that I hold dear) who do not resort to name calling and hurling insults, as if another person doesn’t matter.
I choose to see, and honor the goodness in life. So, a hug is definitely the remedy called for on this good day.
Seek out Goodness. Embrace Joy. Spread Peace. Be Kind.
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
