A selection of tender rye grass mixed with bristly broadleaf weeds and accented by delicate flowers. The flavor of the moment is highlighted by sunlight dressing balanced with mud speckles. Sound good? Just simple food for the soul. Weeds. Delicious!
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
I am inspired by things that grow in the ground and blow in the wind. I like to play in the dirt, especially when planting something, and can talk to trees. I like to look closely at things that at first seem small, insignificant, dried out, or contrary. Weeds may not welcome me with swollen blossoms, but the visual treasure they offer up, are well worth a look. Do you agree? I hope that these images of the oft-overlooked pest of our gardens and yards may give to you some delight, hope, or a new thought to make your daily journey just a little bit more inspired.

I love these photo’s and the attention you give to our so-called weeds. They are so incredibly beautiful when you look at them through a macro lens

Thank you Aina, for your lovely compliment. I love capturing new views of our weeds. It helps me see things more deeply! Just imagine what I’m missing by not paying attention to all sorts of other things!
