Horehound, Softly

If I was tiny, I would want to live in a horehound plant. They have so many looks and textures in their bag of tricks, all set to trigger a memory or mood. This image for some reason makes me think of a bridal party. The purity and demure white flower bridesmaids, the soft green leaf groomsmen and the ant in procession. Perhaps he’s the young ring bearer running about, allowed to let off steam so that he’s stay smartly dressed. Altogether a very nice group of young tender things.

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.

We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
