Yummy, yum, yum! I gotta scramble, gotta get some. Must be some over here, some over there! Ooh, yes, got one! Like a toddler fixated on pink cotton candy or sparkling sugary pops, my mind is glazed over with the honeyed desire for these tasty treats! Pretty please with sugar on top, don’t try to stop me, for devouring them all is my goal. Can you relate?
How wondrous if we could have moments of such single-mindedness as the larva of a ladybird beetle, to rack up achievement points in great numbers, to excel at the things we are suited for, to lose our self-consciousness in work. That’s the treat of a good day. ‘Tis no matter if we are pleasing to others when there is sweetness and grace in talent put to good use.
