The weed seed had flown across the meadows in fits and starts, floating from here to there; and getting snared, then loosed from thorns or branches by the fickle breeze. A few weeds looked up in anticipation of catching the floating adventurer, but there was no design to the path it flew this morning, only chance. And so it was serendipity that the dear weed seed landed pretty as a picture straddling the gap between two leaves of neighboring weeds.
“Peace,” this weed seed said to the two neighbors who might soon fight over soil or light or water. But for today they are partners, working together to support a seed who will change things.
They support hope. Lift up your arms and stretch to reach a seed of hope which will change the future! Protect the possibility with kindness and nurture change with intelligence. Shall we give it a try?
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
