One With The Young Crowd

“Oh to be a child again! To have the bloom of youth, the dewy outlook, the vigor to sprout and race towards the sun without effort!” It is natural to sigh as we ponder this common yet so unattainable desire. But we need not grasp at youth, for it is sheltered within us. Youth warms us with life from the inside, and it radiates out to that rosy appearance, yet youth is much more than just its appearance. Youth transposes into the force that gives beauty to age, to a life well lived, to wrinkles and thorns and dried skin.

This weed, like all weeds, excels at adaptation. By staying in the mix and playing with the young crowd, by seeing things with completed eyes, this weed enhances not only its own beauty, but the beauty of the lush young weeds around it. Both young and old display the kisses of the morning fog with delicate charm. There is grace and beauty in the ability to feel comfortable in your own skin, to delight in each day’s gift of life as it takes you down the road. This browned weed is the most vital of the crowd, as the seeds to new life are contained upon her spine. Stay vital, weed!

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.

We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
