“Hello! I am so excited that you stopped by. Every morning fills me with such eagerness to see new faces. And you, looking so debonair. Please let me assure you that I am the right flower for you. I hope you don’t mind…for company, I’ve brought my sister along, and I’ve got four more of my girlfriends who are on their way. They’ll be here very soon. I know perhaps you might have been looking for someone a bit more refined, or polished, perhaps a tulip or a lily. But really, do those flowers possess the skills and resourcefulness that I bring to the competition?”
“You want a flower that’s good looking, for sure. I must say I don’t disappoint in that arena! But, don’t you also desire a gal that’s got your back? One who could perhaps put a little thorn into the side of your opponent? Or, at the very least, irritate them just the tiniest bit, so they get off track? I’d like to give you the advantage, that is, if you choose me.”
“And, another thing, those fancy flowers do require so much upkeep, they are always needing just the right setting and attention. But me, I’m a happy go lucky kind of gal! I am satisfied wherever I land, and I always put my best face on. So I think, because it is so sunny, and it’s spring, and the birds are singing… and you are so so smart, that you will choose me! Yes? Oh, yes!”
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.

Thanks for visiting Yuka. I love that you are following me along on my weed journey. Sometimes I read my old posts, and I find I am feeling the exact same way today! This weed flower, a filaree, certainly has spunk!
