Today I found myself on a road trip! In between the liberating stretches of open highway cutting through landscapes of dramatic storm clouds overhanging drenched fields, meadows and California rolling hills, I was lucky (?) enough to get caught in a couple traffic jam downpours. Stopped in the pouring rain, my eyes drifted off to the side of the road to spy these traffic jam rainy day weeds. There were hundreds of dramatic weeds along the roadside today, but while moving, I needed to focus at what lay ahead in the road. So this is my weed image for today, the natural sodden beauty of the interstate’s shoulder, captured in a downpour moment while going zero miles per hour.
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
