
“I am built with curves. I am built to bend and sway, to absorb shock. Most days are dances of rhythms and grooves to turn bumps and jolts into swirling currents of highs and lows. But, there is only so much a weed can take till I reach my limit, and then you meet my spine. If you rub me the wrong way, and ignore the itchy warnings I fairly give…I will fight back and STRIKE! I will pierce you with needle like thorns that bite back and dig their way in, in, in.
Being smart warriors, every weed has a strong defense, but the first and most effective weapon is inconspicuousness. If that fails, and hands reach where they should not, if lines are crossed, if boundaries are trespassed, then weeds have no recourse but to use their weapons for defense. This weed warrior quietly allows a look at her spines; nearly translucent but full of strength, not showy but very effective. Does the ninja draw attention to his prowess? Indeed not. Quiet and stealthy warrior, young weed…I shall yield to you today.
