The Graduate

“I wonder if we’ll find any weeds?” the mom asked as she and her son started their walk back to the car after the high school graduation. It had been a lovely ceremony to mark an exciting milestone. The crowd had enjoyed beautiful music and inspiring words of congratulations on academic excellence, and wishes for a bright and optimistic future for all the teenagers. But as the crowds scattered and the night grew colder, both of them felt tired and hungry. Her son did not think his mom would find any weeds because he felt his campus was very well tended. But sometimes moms just keep their hopes up, and before too long, she’s spied the perfect shot with a perfect weed and her graduate too. Hopeful moms are also usually considerate, so this mom is hopeful that she did not tarry too long, nor embarrass her son too much by capturing a graduation weed and her strong, handsome, talented son together on an important night. Congratulations, dear one.

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.

We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
