“I want to be sure of you,” the weed flower mother thought as she leaned close to touch her young weedling blossom. “I don’t want much. I don’t want to stifle you or embarrass you or turn this into a big thing, but I just want to be sure of you.”
The young weedling sensed his mother’s meaning and allowed her to be close. He even inched a bit closer. He could always pretend it was the breeze that had moved him, but that wasn’t really important. It was important to be close. Both mother and son smiled to themselves, happy that they’d made the connection. They were happy and at peace that they understood each other, and that no matter what, the closeness would always be there between them even if no one called attention to it.
It is the best thing in the world to have someone in your corner, and if that is a private relationship, it is very, very strong.
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
