Today is Saturday. WOW! What a relief! A day to take a breath, a day to sigh, a day to watch the beautiful sunset. I am lucky today. Today I triumphed in taking my time and looking around at the life around me. And what do you know? I looked up and I noticed that we had a beautiful sunset! The glow of the sky and the clouds paints beautifully over the most scraggly of weeds, but I spied this Picris Echiosdes (Bristly Ox Tongue) blooming valiantly in chorus with the brightly colored sky.
This flower has a league of ants who move busily in and about the flower, maintaining and grooming it, like the makeup and hair girls who primp a blooming star so she’ll look her best under the Hollywood lights. On busier days I am like the ants, constantly moving working hard to make the little things shine. But today, how nice it is to slow down a bit and enjoy the sunset! I hope your day is weederful!
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
