Dainty Eye Catchers
Dainty Eye Catchers

The dainty little flowers caught my eye as they innocently looked wide eyed upon the world before them. Like a group of sisters or best friends gathered to enjoy the festivities of a dance, they were happy enough to stand to the side, behind more showy flowers like roses and tulips. They danced and swayed to the music but did not need to take center stage. Instead they stayed with each other giggling and enjoying the thrill of possibly being discovered and asked to dance but if not, then very content to be a part of their happy group of little peeps.

At the garden party on a sunny Winter’s day these were the young flowers whose uninhibited enjoyment of the festivities adorned their beauty with extra freshness and charm. Without guile or ploys they honestly opened themselves up to happiness and friendship and their vision was not obscured or distorted by self awareness or artifice.

Oh, the freedom of innocence that allows us to truly enjoy something, and be enjoyed by others! Have a happy Winter day! Today, if you can’t find a rose to smell, try something different – give a weed a sniff!

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.

We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
