Hardcore Seed Pod
Hardcore Seed Pod

Soft on the inside and prickly on the inside. Does that sound like anyone you know? Perhaps someone with trust issues? This Jimson Weed issues a warning for all who wander here. “Stay away ‘cus my seeds are way too tasty but very, very bad for you!”

There are some days that I arm myself heavily under armor of fashion and hair color or makeup to send the signals that I desire to send. Perhaps the messages sent are the truth, perhaps not, but I shall live with them for today just to gain a moment of silence or some peace and quiet until I get my bearings again. When a grey day dawns that finds me none too trusting of the masses, I hide my inner fears, doubts and insecurities under a cloak of sharp spikes and thorns. My facade is my disguise to keep away intruders from the soft inner core.

And if you too have a soft center, I am sure you’ve have those days when your gooeyness could use a layer or two of protection to give it time to gel, to mature, to reinforce it with a hard outer shell. A strong center will be better adapted to endure the challenging job of infusing your corner of the world with your personal brand of softness.

So let’s decorate our facades as fierce are we like! Be creative and have fun making your alter ego! Those who know us, to whom we give access to our inner selves will know what truly lies inside. Vive le difference!

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.

We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
