Of Tender Heart

Sweet One

Sweet One

Oh, sweet one, how shyly you bow your head as you glance my way. With every sideways glance, with every delicate breath, with every waft of fresh scent carried to me on early morning breezes you endear yourself to me. I am enchanted by your every fresh thought, every magical dream and every heartfelt wish carried hopefully by dandelion tufts. You are shy and tender hearted as you offer yourself to me so innocently.  You have no rough exterior to hide behind, no artifice, no disguise or thorns to guard your charming soul. You are truthful and open like the young child who knows no rebuff, correction or fear.

May I hold your hand? May I stay with you a while?

Do not worry, I will treat you ever so tenderly all the days of my life. I treasure that  you have trusted me with your gentle goodness and I pray that I live up to the honor bestowed upon me. It is a joyful thing to be inspired by a tiny weed flower who can speak of things so large that my heart cannot hold them in. My dear weed readers, may your day be joyful and may you find today a blessed bit of tender hearted love.

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.

We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
