There was no Easter egg hunt today at my house, as my kin have more serious pursuits to pursue. However, I still enjoy a wander outside on a daily basis – no special event needed. So as I searched the wet weeds after today’s rain soaked everything, I was rewarded with an Easter surprise in the grass! I found her, candy colored red, the first ladybird of the season! She was hiding amongst the pink-toned foxtails decorated with spring’s diamond rain drops that glimmered with the light from above.
Happy Easter everyone! Happy Spring! Whether you are searching or day dreaming today, I wish that you also will find unexpected treasures, and may you receive great joy from the serendipity that crosses your path whenever it chooses to.
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
