I waded through the weeds today and was so surprised when my mind wandered away and I wound up at a wacky wonderland. In this altered world, I awoke from my walking dream, and a weedy walrus winked at me. And with a little wave, he welcomed me into his world.
He waggled his whiskers in the wind and I wondered, “How did the field of weeds turn into this weird fantasy land? Were the turn of events fueled by waves of my wild imagination? Am I now a waif adrift? Am I waist deep in trouble? Will my firm hold of whys and why nots wither away while my wits wander off?”
“Wait!” There was another thought coming my way, wafting its way slowly on a winding roundabout. I watched it with fascination as it settled and then proclaimed, “You’ve just got a case of wanderlust, my dear. It will wane in time, and you’ll be able to return to reality soon enough.”
My weed walrus had sported a stylish feathery mustache. He was a waggish fellow who turned himself upside down and showed off his feathery whiskers just to wend his way into my favor. I don’t know why he thought me so special, but I am certainly glad he did.
Thank you weed, for the lovely daydream. I had quite the wild ride!
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
