Waving
Waving

I’ve got the best view around. I am situated high on a bluff and I can see across the coastal town all the way to the sea. Echoes of vacations carry on the breeze in the children’s laughter that come my way in waves. The roar of cheers during a volleyball game kick up sand into the air while the sparkling water reflects the diamond hopes and dreams of teenagers’ summer trips to the beach in their search for romance and mystery.

Please toss the beach ball my way.  I want to feel the bounce and inhale the fragrance of sunscreen so I can travel back to my own summers of love. Barbeque your hot dogs nearby so I can hear the shriek of the hungry sea gulls as they dip and swirl in search of an unguarded treat. Set down a cooler beside me with your glass on top so I can hear the clinking of the melting ice. Lay a towel upon the sea grass so I can admire the grains of sand on your sunburned shoulders.

There is so much to be gained from a superb view. Pause your wandering and soak it in. I am one lucky weed!

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.

We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
