Warm Rays

Jewels

Jewels

I radiate warm rays of love your way and I pray that they reach you.  The sun points me in the direction you are headed, towards the setting sun, and so I turn to soak up the rays while I close my eyes and think of you. And when my thoughts are vivid enough to warm me to my core, I feel jewels of sunshine leaving me and flying at the speed of light straight to your heart. You will feel my presence even if we are far apart. Of that I am certain.

I cannot move from where I am. I cannot join you on your path, for it is my duty to say here, and it is your duty to journey alone. So as you witness the sun sinking below the horizon, glance behind you into the twilight shadows and think of me. I shall be there in the shadows. I shall gaze at the same fiery sphere as you, but my vantage point will be miles away in the moments you’ve already left behind.

I do hope my jewels will keep you warm when the day turns into night, as we both wait to see stars in the darkened sky. Perhaps when we both see tonight’s very first star, we will hear each other’s thoughts as they fly into space. Perhaps then we will be joined again. That is my wish.

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.

We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
