There are ghosts beneath our feet. Once, long ago, they might have been living beings who looked upon the sun, who roamed this earth and made their mark upon the land. Perhaps they were loved. Perhaps they were appreciated. Perhaps they are even now, missed. But once they reached their unfortunate end among the living they were put in the ground; to stay.
But now they are rising.
With a force that is unworldly and more silent than a cat they appear at my feet.
And yours,
and yours, too.
What is their intent?
No one is immune. No one is safe. They seek you.
Look carefully where you step tonight. You do not want to make contact with them, these doughy ghosts who glow with a pale energy that warns us not to touch them.
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
