My Delight

Pink

Soft Pink

I’ve managed to catch myself a chill, most likely brought on the overabundance of important year end and holiday deadlines, and so tonight I just want to sink down into soft pink delight. I want to wrap myself up in pinkness and warmth. I want to flee from the deadlines, the list of tasks and the important decisions. I want to simply feel joy.

I gaze at you, simple dear weed flower and you calm my mind. You do not intend to wow me, or halt me in my tracks, but you do. You welcome me in, you ask me to wonder at your delicacy. You invite me to be entranced by your charming curlicues and delicate airy sculptures designed to attract and trap the essence of life.

You invite me in but you do not insist. If I refuse, you will bloom again tomorrow and continue on as long as the sunshine and the weather pays you favor.

What a beautiful thing you are dear weed flower, and so I shall accept your invitation. I sink into pink delight and I shall wonder at the gifts that you so graciously offer to any and to all. I shall inhale deeply of your calming fresh scent. I shall thank the Lord that you have been given a place in this world and that I have chance upon it.

Many blessings to all !

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
