Siblings
Siblings

Today I am told is National Sibling Day. I don’t know who makes these things up, or if it’s legit. But no matter. The idea sparked, the engine started and the steamrolling began. I have siblings, and if I ignore this National Day in their honor, does that make me a bad sister? Probably not, my logical side states. But the part of me that wears charms for good luck and says extra prayers at stressful times, bids me to mark the day in some way. It’s better that way.

And so, I see around me siblings of all sorts, birthed ones, chosen ones, close ones, distant ones, and ones not found. But no matter how many children our parents had, we are all part of an immense family, like the rain drops on the back of a weed leaf. We share many many things in common, we are made up of the same stuff, and we obtain the best results if we all come together for good.

I think we can blend our edges, merge with one another and group together, for we are family. Didn’t our mothers try to teach us to get along?

Many blessings all. Have a weederful, joyous day!

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.

We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
