There are so many treasures to wake up to on Easter morning and one of the simplest and most joyous, available to anyone of any faith, or not, are weed blossoms found in Spring.
Here are just a few orange and pink hued flowers that poke the heads up straight to the sun, embracing the warmth as a gift kindly given and gratefully received. They look shy and unassuming, but they are bold in their colors and in their staking a claim to their rightful place in the fields and meadows of a sunny California wild land. Although my Easter Egg hunt did not go as planned, these treasures made my hunt a worthwhile jaunt into my untamed fields. I found these little beauties edged by grains as if contained in a sweet little Easter basket, of nature’s style.
What joy to find such treasure! Happy Easter to all, and Happy Weed Day as well!
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
