If you’ve ever wondered what insects think, here’s a little look inside their thought bubble. “Yummy, yum, yum! I gotta scramble, gotta get some. Must be some over here, some over there! Ooh, yes, got one!”
“Pretty please with sugar on top, don’t try to stop me, for devouring them all is my only goal.”
Like a toddler fixated on pink cotton candy or sparkling sugary pops, one tiny mind glazes over with the honeyed desire for tasty treats. One goal is paramount. Can you relate?
How wondrous it would be, how simply blissful, if we could get caught up in such single-mindedness as the larva of a ladybird beetle. We could rack up achievement points in great numbers. We could excel at the things we are suited for. We could lose our self-consciousness in our work, our passion, our reason for being.
To get caught in the quest means that we could lose ourselves. How wonderful!
This is the treat that we can enjoy on a good day! Whether we are pleasing to others, or just to the flowers, let us devour sweetness every day!
I could be pleased with this, and even simpler fare.
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
