There was a weed, a fighting weed, who stood beside the object of her love when times were peaceful. And in times of unrest, when turbulent winds kicked up to threaten them, she dug in deeper, with all she had, to stand true and taller beside her love. With her stalwart stance she showed that her love was deep,
and strong,
and red.
It is true that she could fight with thorns all tumbling and piercing with abandon. She would. She was ready. This weed would fight to save and stand by her love.
She was mother, lover, friend, and sister.
She was proud to be a tumbling weed, ready to protect with ferocity.
So, like a lowly thing that grows close to the ground,
fight hard, dear friends to protect and keep the objects of your love close. In this fight love will always win.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be. Please come back again for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like. Even better, look down at the world that teems with life and meaning. It is right at your feet!
