I present one face to the sun, my public face. It grows green and fuzzy, adjusted, conventional. But my other side, the one I hold close to my heart, grows purple and bold, vibrant with dreams and desires. My purple side reveals itself in moments of truth when I choose to be free of convention and restraints. In those purple moments I embrace flights of whimsy and soaring emotions, and the pure strengths of optimism, love and devotion. My green side and my purple side feed and protect each other. I could not be myself without either.
Perhaps when you catch a glimpse of my purple side you will be drawn in and want to stay a while by my side, making life nicer.
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
