Still Life on the Lawn

At the end of the day, we sit and commune. We cool off slowly as the earth rotates around the sun. No breeze rattles us. We feel spent, but we can spend time with each other. Neither asks for much, no one has demands. We just are. Still. This is our life on the lawn today.

We are lucky because the gardeners did not come even though this is “their” day. We have been saved from the mowers and the blowers, and so can have this peace. This piece of grass and dusk and reflection. Soon, time for a sleep.

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.

We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
