Holding Tight
Holding Tight

With every inch of my being I ache to grab onto something that will complete me. I see what is before me and so I reach for it, this bit of strength, this floating anchor that will support me and allow me to explore. I claim this spot and make it mine with every twist and turn granted to me by my days. I look beside me, and lo, I have a partner whose aim is the same as mine!

We are but a small part of the larger natural order of things. We are simple grasping tendrils seeking and searching for our anchor in a windy wild world. We share the humble and unremarkable goals to be secure, to climb and to grow. If we could join forces and work together as partners we might succeed.

Oh, be my Valentine and live with me, work with me, pull with me, be on my team. I shall wend and wind my way around this world with you in harmony and bliss. I shall guard you and support you and appreciate you, for without you I would lose my place in this precious life and risk hanging loose in the brambles. Together though, we can climb high and reach the sky!

Happy Valentines Day dear weed lovers! I hope that when you reach out for someone, you will find whom you need. You might even find your anchor within. We often have much more than we recognize.

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.

We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
