Perfection
Perfection

Here there is no need for landscaping, no irrigation, no upkeep, no maintenance. Optimum growth is achieved without soil amendments or fertilizer. Please, no pruning, no transplanting, no thinning, no enhancements. There is no need to improve. There are no weeds here, for everything belongs. Every plant and rock and cloud holds its rightful place in the master plan that was drawn eons ago.

Adorned by the setting sun’s golden glow, the desertscape offers a vision of perfection without the need to be witnessed by any living soul. It clearly stands on its own merit. But I, lucky weed trekker, am lucky to have been treated to a vista as breathtaking as this. I am humbled by the uncluttered, pristine and stark power of the desert for its ability to reduce things to their simplest elements. You can find yourself in the desert; you can find peace, you can find inspiration, insight and clear thoughts. Dreams become revelations, now within reach. It’s as if the horizon, and all the possibilities that lie beyond, have suddenly become a place you can reach out and touch, now that the distractions have been cleared away. The desert is the ideal destination; the beginning and the end of a spirit’s adventure.

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.

We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
