Every year I welcome the familiar and exhilarating elements of a Fourth of July night: the anticipation and guessing game one plays when waiting for the fireworks to begin; the sharp intake of breath when the first colossal ball of color explodes into the night sky, and the involuntary shouts of joy in praise of freedom, of flight, of color, of dreams so bright with every new dramatic star bound spectacle! These are the elements that resonate with a dandelion who knows so well the pleasure felt when granting wishes with an explosion in the sky.
Oh! The holding of one’s breath!
It is a privilege to wish a country Happy Birthday. Wherever you are in the world, whatever birthdays you celebrate, I wish for you that they are strongly felt, full of meaning and sky filling explosions of color to illuminate your dreams! Enjoy this party we call life!
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
