This weed will stand. Here I am. Look not my way, pay me no heed. I am unnamed, invisible. But this is MY spot and I shall hold on to it with everything that I am and everything that I hold dear. And I will do it on my own.
I don’t bother to try to stop the passage of time, for life wants to keep slipping through my fingers, but I can forever envelop my important moments with devotion. I call upon those golden moments to steel myself against the winds, the dust, the heat and desolation. I use the fuel to stoke the fire of my bravery.
I am not always green., I’m okay with that. What the use of always being flush if I can’t feel the difference between the days? I’ll take this endurance test and make great strides of grace at my own pace.
Here’s to freedom!
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
