I am green, such a common color. I have leaves, as do many others. I am soft if you rub me the right way, otherwise I can stick prickles in your skin. I have life in me and for that I am lucky, but not extraordinary.
I start each day like so many others and yet I strive to find my special spot, the place that means something unique to me. My spot may actually be the same as yours, for we may not be that different, you and I. We are joined in this world with young and old. In all places and of all ages, we share life. We are new, again, just as the ones who came before us (and are now long gone, dried and withered and scattered by the wind) were new in their time.
I unfurl my green soft life and I hope for the best on this journey. Just like you.
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
