Foxtail And Feather

Feather and foxtail flights were cancelled today for reasons unknown. Perhaps they just didn’t feel like it. Perhaps the day was too hot to obtain lift off and so the two decided to drowse instead in the sunny field, and enjoy the lazy Sunday summer breeze, accompanied by the buzz of insects and the calls of birds from on high.

Today was a day to rest. Today was the perfect day to be exactly where you were because it was the right place to be.

What peace there is in that place, the place you belong in. If, like a feather torn, you have lost the ability to soar, you can find instead ways to lift your spirit and plan your route for the next leg of your journey. There is freedom in being able to point towards the clouds while firmly planted on this earth.

Peace, all! Let your spirits soar!

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.

We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.

It’s going to be a hot day. Perhaps a good day for a lie down.
