I am one of the crowd on this Monday; I’m with the in-crowd, the working crowd, the humanity crowd. And here in this Monday moment, I compose and frame and take a deep breath of my view of the week.
I shall bend towards duty and discipline, I shall keep my eye on the sunset and the birds that soar in the sky. I shall stand in solidarity with my peers. I shall keep company with good people and I will both give and receive strength from their proximity and their example. I will work to cross borders and boundaries, especially the ones that are strongest in my mind, the small ones that sometimes keep me away from my goals. I shall be brave.
My wild mustard dreamers and I will pick a course for the week. Perhaps we will stay true to in, perhaps not. But somehow I think it will all end up fine in the end. I have the wind, the sun, the dirt between my toes, and my view of the week to hold in my heart. Together my mustard dancers and I will be as a flock and we shall rise up and take flight in the sky of dreams, fulfillment and potential. I shall be a friend.
Let nothing stop us, especially ourselves. I shall truly be.
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
