The wind catches the wishes from those nearby and they eddy around me, swirling and perfuming the air with the scents of wants, needs, hopes and desires. Those wishes are not spoken, not whispered, but are only scents that I catch whiffs of in fragments like perfume that trails in the air. I bend to listen to one desire and then another as I stretch to bridge the gaps and bring all together in unity.
I have learned these skills from those who came before me and those who grow on their own path beside me. My life as a weed has allowed me much time to observe and to learn the ways to enhance my life and the lives of all in my colony. I find I can grow taller and stronger when all around me are able to thrive. And my companions have much to teach me. If I listen to their wishes, I will more clearly hear my own.
From deep down in my roots I draw upon my ability to bend in order to reach the needs of others and fulfill my own dreams as well. I turn my strength into a bridge that carries me closer to growth and illumination in the bright sunlit truth of each new day. Each new bend marks the beginning of a new journey and an effort to bridge the gaps.
Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.
We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.
