Love Bug

Hello Little Love Bug!

Hello Little Love Bug!

Hello little Love Bug! I see your face everywhere and I smile. I think of you every day and I feel love. You are in the sky and in the air, in scents and tastes. You are caught in the fibers of beloved and treasured coats and sweaters worn on first dates from years ago, the ones that will hang in my closet forever, even if they have been out of fashion for more than a few seasons. I feel you next to me when I look at the photographs of places we’ve been when we were both quite a bit younger. You are in my memories and in my dreams of things to come. You visit me on my minds wandering when I am working or driving or pausing. You provide the dreaminess in my daydreams.

And look! Here you are, on the curve of a leaf, fresh after  a chilled morning’s rain, promising whimsy and a unique view for the day. See, you have surprised me once again!

I hope, deer weed friends, that you have someone like this in your life, the kind of person that we often greet with “I love you” and wish “Happy Anniversary” or “Happy Birthday”. I do hope you see your own Love Bug today. Mine is quite nice!

Please come back tomorrow for a new “Weed Image of the Day” and let me know which ones you like.

We and our weeds are so much more than what we first appear to be.

  1. How excellent is this little bug. I am definitely in love with him as well. Art and nature at its best. Great shot.

Thank you Random Rose. I love this little one. Sometimes it’s so surprising what the camera catches. My eye sought out the rain drops but it wasn’t until I saw the shot on my screen that I realized just who was before me!
